JAN UTZON VISITS PORTER MODELS

In February 2006, Jan Utzon, son of Jørn Utzon, visited the Porter Models Workshop.

Mr Utzon was in Australia on behalf of his father as an adviser, to assist the Opera House Trust, on refurbishments to be made to the World Famous Building.

Whilst here, he had the pleasure of viewing the recently restored 1:50 scale Opera House model. Commissioned in 1968, the model was built to show the air-conditioning and fire systems. It was later displayed at World Expo, in Washington, 1974.
