SYDNEY OPERA HOUSE MOVE

Part of the restoration involved preparing the model for public display. It was first shown to the public at a trade fair in Darling Harbour Exhibition Centre before moving to a temporary home at the Faculty of Architecture, Sydney Uni. It then moved from there to its current location in Custom’s House at Circular Quay, Sydney, where the public can go and view it.

Each time the model is moved it takes a team of 8 people to dismantle, pack-up and transport to the new location. Another day is required to re-assemble the model and make sure all is as should be.
